I suoi concerti sono un viaggio tra canzoni e improvvisazioni.
Il setup live, affinato negli anni, gli permette di suonare in solo senza basi trasmettendo un sound completo, potente ed onirico.
Il suo nuovo album “A safe place” è stato registrato dal vivo nel suo studio a marzo 2026 ed è prevista l’uscita in primavera.Il percorso è stato documentato e condiviso sui social media e su Youtube e porterà alla pubblicazione di un video della registrazione per ogni brano, con l’aggiunta di trip visuals.
Ha un approccio caleidoscopico alla musica, che lo ha portato a scrivere e suonare per i suoi progetti passati (Hot Dust, Mood Filter, Dirty Soul, Capsicum Tree) e per altri artisti, performer, spot pubblicitari, fashion film e film cinematografici.
Ha fatto parte di tour come corista/polistrumentista con le star della musica pop italiana Malika Ayane, Cesare Cremonini ed Eros Ramazzotti ("Perfetto World tour" 2015-2016).
Nel 2022 ha pubblicato l’album “Gods in the Womb” a nome Hot Dust. L’album, disponibile anche in vinile, è il frutto della sua sperimentazione elettronica in formato canzone.
Nel 2023 è uscito “Boubacar-Chris Costa Savanalandia rework”, che fa parte di “Ghibli The Remixes” dei Savana Funk, trasmesso da Extra/Radio Capital.
A giugno 2025 ha pubblicato “The Chosen”, brano e videoclip dal forte contenuto politico: un singolo elettronico che fonde ritmi ispirati al breakbeat con un messaggio radicato negli eventi globali attuali.
A settembre 2025 è uscito “Special”, con la partecipazione di Aldo Betto (Savana Funk) e Max Castlunger (Upcycling Music), trasmesso da Alex Paletta/Extra su Radio Capital.
2026 Ha curato il mix e mastering del brano “Per raccontarlo a te” di Francesco Sarcina, incluso nella celebre serie “I casi dell’avvocato Guerrieri” con Alessandro Gassman e Michele Venitucci.
2026 Ha masterizzato il brano “Noi due nel mondo e nell’anima” - Le Vibrazioni, cover del celebre brano dei Pooh in occasione del loro 60°anniversario.
Nel corso del tempo ha perfezionato la sua esperienza nella produzione, registrazione, missaggio e mastering, operando principalmente dal suo studio ibrido a Milano.

Chris is a singer, performer, multi-instrumentalist, arranger, producer and refined stage animal.
His concerts are a journey through songs and improvisations.
His live setup, refined over the years, allows him to perform solo without backing tracks, delivering a full, powerful, and dreamlike sound.
His new album “A Safe Place” was recorded live in his studio in March 2026 and is scheduled for release in spring. The process has been documented and shared on social media and on YouTube, and will lead to the release of a video recording for each track, enriched with trip visuals.
He has a truly kaleidoscopic attitude to music, that eventually led him to write and perform for his former projects (Hot Dust, Mood Filter, Dirty Soul, Capsicum Tree) and for other artists, performers, commercials, fashion films and movies.
He toured with italian popstars Malika Ayane, Cesare Cremonini and Eros Ramazzotti (2015/16 ”Perfetto" World Tour).

“A Safe Place” è il nuovo album di Chris Costa, registrato interamente dal vivo nel suo studio nel marzo 2026. Un progetto che cattura l’essenza più autentica della sua musica: una performance reale, senza filtri, dove ogni suono nasce e si sviluppa nel momento.
L’intero percorso creativo è stato documentato e condiviso online, dando vita a una serie di contenuti pubblicati sui social media e su YouTube. Il progetto culmina con la pubblicazione di cinque video ufficiali – uno per ciascun brano – arricchiti da trip visuals che amplificano l’esperienza immersiva dell’ascolto.
La playlist YouTube “A Safe Place – Faccio un disco col looper” raccoglie i momenti chiave di questo viaggio: dall’idea iniziale fino agli sviluppi tecnici e artistici, offrendo uno sguardo diretto e trasparente sul processo creativo.
Alla base dell’album c’è una scelta precisa: lavorare con un setup minimale, lo stesso utilizzato nei concerti live. Due sintetizzatori, un drum pad, un pedale per il kick, un multieffetto per la voce e un looper. Questo approccio permette a Chris di costruire un suono ampio e stratificato senza ricorrere a basi preregistrate, suonando simultaneamente tutti gli strumenti e registrando in tempo reale parti della performance per completare gli arrangiamenti.
Il looper diventa così uno strumento espressivo che valorizza l’improvvisazione, l’energia e il senso di gioco: caratteristiche che da sempre definiscono i suoi live.
A differenza dei lavori precedenti, spesso sviluppati nell’arco di anni, “A Safe Place” nasce da un processo più immediato e diretto. Dopo una prima fase di selezione di idee e sperimentazioni raccolte nel tempo, il materiale è stato testato dal vivo in diversi contesti, per poi essere registrato in studio nell’arco di una settimana.
La registrazione è avvenuta in presa diretta su traccia stereo, senza possibilità di interventi successivi di editing o mixaggio multitraccia. Ciò che si ascolta è esattamente ciò che è stato suonato e cantato.
Il suono è stato infine finalizzato dallo stesso artista attraverso un percorso analogico, passando da un registratore a nastro Studer A80 e da una catena di mastering di alta qualità.

“A Safe Place” is the new album by Chris Costa, recorded entirely live in his studio in March 2026. A project that captures the most authentic essence of his music: a real, unfiltered performance where every sound is created and evolves in the moment.
The entire creative journey was documented and shared online, resulting in a series of content published across social media and YouTube. The project culminates in the release of five official videos—one for each track—enhanced by trip visuals that expand the immersive listening experience.
The YouTube playlist “A Safe Place – Faccio un disco col looper” brings together the key moments of this journey, from the initial idea to the technical and artistic developments, offering a direct and transparent look into the creative process.
At the core of the album is a deliberate choice: working with a minimal setup, the same used in live performances. Two synthesizers, a drum pad, a kick pedal, a vocal multi-effects unit, and a looper. This approach allows Chris to build a rich, layered sound without the use of pre-recorded backing tracks, playing all instruments simultaneously and recording elements live to complete the arrangements.
The looper thus becomes an expressive tool that enhances improvisation, energy, and a sense of play—hallmarks that have always defined his live shows.
Unlike previous works, often developed over the course of years, “A Safe Place” was created through a more immediate and direct process. After an initial phase of selecting ideas and experiments gathered over time, the material was tested live in different contexts before being recorded in the studio over the span of a single week.
The performance was recorded directly to a stereo track, with no possibility for post-editing or multitrack mixing. What you hear is exactly what was played and sung.
The sound was then finalized by the artist through an analog process, passing through a Studer A80 tape machine and a high-end mastering chain.
“A Safe Place” will be available as a “Premium Hi-Quality Edition” download (96 kHz / 24 bit) + Hi-Quality Mp3 bonus files on the artist’s official website, in other formats on Bandcamp, and later on major digital platforms worldwide.

Un vero e proprio mantra costruito su un loop ritmico ossessivo, in perfetta simbiosi con il messaggio: “Breakin’ down some ancient rules”.
Un’espressione che potremmo tradurre come “mandare in frantumi certe regole antiquate”, anche se la sua forza resta più incisiva in inglese.
Il Trip Video pubblicato su YouTube si muove tra universo, essere umano e natura, intrecciando queste dimensioni con la performance live di Chris in un flusso visivo ipnotico.
RAINBOW
Il ritorno al canto melodico di Chris prende forma in un viaggio intenso e visionario, che invita a custodire il nucleo più profondo della magia umana: un luogo segreto, intoccabile, da cui continuare a generare vita e immaginazione.
Un richiamo a resistere all’ipnosi dello scrolling continuo, a cui siamo ormai incatenati.
Il Trip Video pubblicato su YouTube inizia in uno scenario onirico mentale, per poi trasformarsi in un cuore-serpente pulsante che conduce verso paesaggi aerei immaginari, abitati da misteriose Mante Neon in volo.
SOMETHIN’
Un brano nato anche da errori e incidenti durante la sperimentazione del setup live utilizzato per l’album.
Le sonorità oniriche e la ritmica incalzante accompagnano un invito chiaro: uscire dal proprio guscio, lasciare lo spazio sicuro della creazione e affacciarsi al mondo. Qualcosa là fuori ci sta aspettando.
Il Trip Video pubblicato su YouTube è ambientato in un universo psichedelico, dove un satellite fatto di griglie colorate, dal sapore anni ’70, viene attraversato da una manta volante. All’inizio nasconde un microonde — simbolo dello schermo quotidiano — dentro cui è intrappolata la nostra testa.
BORN AGAIN
Un viaggio attraverso tre ambientazioni sonore: un inizio breakbeat potente e ricco di basse frequenze, una sezione centrale più intima e riflessiva, e un finale minimal con cassa in quattro, synth, percussioni e voce.
Il testo racconta il processo continuo di rinascita e trasformazione che attraversa l’esperienza umana.
Il Trip Video pubblicato su YouTube parte da un paesaggio onirico, conduce a una dimensione oracolare nella parte centrale, e si apre infine in una foresta popolata da alberi illuminati da volti-luce, che progressivamente arrivano a nascondere “lo schermo”.
RUN AWAY
Questo brano intenso con cassa in 4 è stato scritto nel 2016, immediatamente dopo l’elezione del Presidente Usa dalla faccia arancione.
La prima versione includeva le sue consuete deiezioni vocali senza senso, il suono della banda della cerimonia inaugurale e un’aggiunta del suono di una ”lingua di Menelik”.
Questi elementi sono stati poi rimossi per preservare la purezza del brano dalla tremenda voce del pagliaccio arancio.
Il messaggio resta essenziale: run away from darkness.
Il Trip Video pubblicato su YouTube racconta la fuga di un robot umanoide da un mondo dominato da eventi assurdi e privi di senso.

A reminder to resist the hypnosis of endless scrolling we’re now chained to.
The Trip Video on YouTube begins in a dreamlike mental space, then morphs into a pulsating snake-heart leading into imaginary aerial landscapes inhabited by mysterious flying Neon Mantas.
SOMETHIN’
A track that also came out of mistakes and accidents during the experimentation of the live setup used for the album.
Dreamlike sounds and a driving rhythm come together with a clear message: step out of the shell, leave the safe space of creation, and face the outside world. Something out there is waiting.
The Trip Video on YouTube is set in a psychedelic universe where a satellite made of colorful grids—very ’70s—gets crossed by a flying manta. At first, it hides a microwave—symbol of the screen we stare at every day—inside which our head is trapped.
BORN AGAIN
A journey through three sonic environments: a heavy, bass-driven breakbeat opening, a more intimate and reflective middle section, and a minimal four-on-the-floor finale built on synths, percussion, and voice.
The lyrics revolve around the constant process of rebirth and reconstruction we go through as humans.
The Trip Video on YouTube starts in a dreamlike landscape, moves into an oracle-like dimension in the central part, and finally opens into a forest filled with trees covered in glowing faces, gradually ending up hiding “the screen.”
RUN AWAY
This intense four-on-the-floor track was written in 2016, right after the election of the orange-faced U.S. president.
The first version included his usual nonsensical verbal output, the sound of the inauguration marching band, and an extra layer inspired by a “Menelik tongue” sound.
These elements were later removed to keep the track clean from the disturbing voice of the orange clown.
The message stays simple: run away from darkness.
The Trip Video on YouTube portrays a humanoid robot escaping from a world where absurd, senseless events keep happening nonstop.
